Our Cancellation Policy

Your therapist has set aside time specifically to see you. Therefore, please consider it a matter of courtesy and respect that if for any reason you can't make your appointment, you call our reception on (02) 9736 2721 so we may offer your appointment time to someone else and find a time that works for you.

Please Note: We reserve the right to charge you for your appointment if you fail to attend an appointment without notice or if you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, as our psychologists still have to pay for their room even if you do not attend.

What payment methods do we accept?

EFTPOS, VISA, Mastercard. American Express cards will incur a surcharge of 2.5%.

Rebates

To obtain a rebate for a session with a psychologist, you will need a referral letter and a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician. You will need to inform your GP you want to see a PSYCHmatters psychologist.

Rebates from your private health insurer are dependant upon the company involved and your level of cover. Please contact your private health insurer for more information about their rebates.

Once you have used your rebates for a 12-month period, you are still able to see your psychologist but you will be required to pay the full amount for the session.
