
Rose is a clinical psychologist who specialises in children and adolescents. She also works with adults as a general psychologist and is a trained mediator. Rose has lectured in Psychometric Assessment in the Master of Educational Psychology Program at the University of Western Sydney and is currently a supervisor to a number of the intern psychologist from that program.
Rose's background in teaching as a trained teacher and her formal qualifications from Macquarie University as a special education teacher,gives her the experience and expertise when formulating a diagnosis and developing workable recommendation for any learning and behavioural issues in children and adolescents. Her current association with the University of Western Sydney keeps her in stead with the latest trends and research. This is complimented with her duties as a school counsellor in both primary and secondary schools.
Rose is a certified parent trainer in the "Parenting with Love and Limits program" This program caters for parents of adolescents with challenging behaviours who have lost their empowerment over their adolescents. The program involves working with parents together with their adolescent as individuals.
Rose Cantali is a trained Mediator. Mediation is used at many levels including workplace, conflicts within the family, and relationships
Rose is currently working on a PhD, which is about resilience building in adolescents.This topic includes the development of resilience in children so as to combat future issues such as depression, anxiety, lack of motivation, substance abuse and conduct disorder in adolescents.
Her extensive research in this area has been used to develop a school-based program,which is currently been used in many schools. This work has recently been published as a book called "Getting Connected" which is about building resilience in children who are starting high school.
Because of her training and ongoing experience with children and adolescent issues,she is often asked to present her findings and research materials at educational and psychological conferences and forums.
